About Link Design

Link Design was founded in 1995 to help meet the need for high-quality, sensibly designed furniture for those with Special Needs.

Previous research had led to the conclusion that furniture for those with Special Needs, particularly in relation to challenging behaviour, hygiene and safety issues was not generally available and those products that were offered did not function appropriately nor were they aesthetically pleasing.

From the outset, Link Design has endeavoured to supply attractive, robust furniture, designed to meet the specific and varied needs of those that use it.

Many of the products were conceived as “one-off” designs, made to specifications drawn up by Care Managers for individual clients. Features of these designs were adopted and incorporated into what are now standard ranges of furniture.

In addition to these standard ranges, Link Design is very pleased to still be able to supply bespoke furniture, adapted to accommodate the needs of specific individuals.

Link Design supplies specialist furniture to an ever increasing list of private, public and voluntary sector organisations whose clients include those with Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Autism, Mental Illness and those detained in Secure Accommodation.
